Pours a deep, dark brown. Slight, creamy, tan head dissipates rather quickly. There's roast up front, followed by toasty malt, and a solid earthy, rich (yet still roasted) aroma. Taste is more of what the nose promised. Any sweetness that does come through is hand-in-hand with the roasty aspect to this fine Impy stout. Malt notes of ever so slight dark bread, prune, and faint chocolate peeks through.
